Let Edgewood Student Research pay you to write poetry, fiction, or non-fiction this summer!

Just wanted to put out one more reminder about the new student writing grant through student research - aka the EDGE grants, which are new this year. Applications are due April 1st (BUT IT IS OK TO BE A LITTLE LATE ON THIS SINCE TODAY IS THE DAY: JUST LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN ON APPLYING AND NEED A COUPLE DAYS), with the intent to award 3-4 $300 prizes to student willing to spend the next six months writing an original piece of their choosing.

These grants are available to undergraduate students who...

Are willing to write and revise ~20 pages of poetry, fiction, or creative non-fiction
- You may choose one to focus on
  - Poetry can be: any style, one longform piece or several shorter pieces
  - Fiction can be: one short story, multiple short stories, or one or two chapters from a novel-in-progress
  - Creative Non-Fiction can be: one larger piece, multiple shorter pieces, or a chapter from a creative non-fiction project-in-progress
  - We are open to other formats with appropriate justification and explanation
