THIS IS A CONFERENCE YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS!

On behalf of Edgewood College, we would like to cordially invite you to the 2019 Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (WAICU) Student Diversity Conference, which will take place Friday, April 12, 2019 through Saturday, April 13, 2019 on the Edgewood campus. We ask that you urge all your students to attend!

FREE REGISTRATION FOR ALL EDGEWOOD COLLEGE STUDENTS! Sign-up for this event at the OSII Student Info Desk (2nd floor Predolin)

We have tons of cool sessions that cover a variety of conversations, including: graduate school tips for students of color, campus protesting/demonstrations, and leveraging your role as a student to make change.

The 2019 WAICU Student Diversity Conference Planning Team is a diverse group of staff and students who are dedicated to the advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice on campus. Furthermore, we are committed to developing and using our skills to address social inequities, create inclusive communities, and empower students to use their voice to further diversity and inclusion on campus and in society. We are bringing together leaders across the generations to discuss how we all contribute to the development of a more equitable future. This commitment informed the theme for the 2019 conference “Stand Up. Stand Out!”.

The 2019 WAICU Student Diversity Conference strives to:

- call us to action to better ourselves and the communities and world around us.
- center who we are and how we connect with one another in community.
- promote and recognize principles of fairness and social justice in relation to, and across, intersections of race, age, color, ability, faith, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic class, ethnicity, gender identity/expression, and all other identities.
- create space for deep engagement, reflection, & storytelling while also balancing the need to celebrate our journeys and have some fun.
