Technology Fair Schedule for Tuesday, January 16th

You are cordially invited to Tech Fair and the Tech Fair Luncheon on Tuesday, January 16th.

The day begins at 8:30 (Welcome at 8:45) and ends at 3:00 pm with the drawing for door prizes.  You receive a chance to win door prizes for each session you attend. You must be present or have a representative present to win.

Blackboard Migration to the cloud (Diane Deci) – This session will provide orientation to the new interface of Blackboard, the use of Content Management and Community Sites, Master course sites, and tips for reducing the size of your course sites.

 

Introducing the Qualtrics Insights Platform (Pat Estes)

Qualtrics has recently released the Qualtrics Insights Platform which brings improvements to the user interface, as well as a number of new features. Some of these new features include “inline email questions,” which allow you to insert a survey question directly into your email invitations, “response tagging” to help facilitate qualitative data analysis (open-ended question analysis), a whole new suite of customizable, interactive visualizations, and an overall more efficient platform for turning your data into insights. Whether you are a Qualtrics veteran or just starting out using online surveys, come learn what’s new in our campus wide online survey platform.

Streaming Video via the Library (Library staff)

This will be an "all things video" session, focusing on resources available through the library.  Find out about streaming videos you can access via the library, and how to share them with your students (including embedding clips, playlists, or full videos into Blackboard).  Copyright considerations for using videos in your classes will be covered as well.  Edgewood librarians have also been creating screencast tutorials to help students use library resources.  Learn what tutorials are available now, and how you can request new screencasts for your classes.
