Description:
Active Learning can be used in any discipline.  It usually involves small and large group activities in which students actively engage in talking about, writing about, assessing and reflecting on their learning as they engage in it.  It often involves students teaching new knowledge and skills to others shortly after they learn them, and transferring knowledge and skills from one context or problem to another. These approaches lead students to take increasing responsibility for their own learning and to become lifelong seekers of knowledge in your content area.
