Professional Development Opportuntiy: YWCA Racial Justice Summit (9/29-9/30)

Dear Colleague,

On Thursday, 9/29, and Friday, 9/30, the YWCA is hosting their annual Racial Justice Summit at the Monona Terrace.

The YWCA Madison Racial Justice Summit brings together community stakeholders to work on eliminating barriers that foster racism in our community. The Summit focuses on institutional racism and involves nationally-known keynote speakers and researchers, as well as local experts and advocates. Through an environment that encourages learning from and supporting each other in our common goals, the Summit provides a platform for action planning and community dialogue.

The event is from 8a-4:30p on Thursday, 9/29, and from 8a-1:30p on Friday, 9/30.

If you are interested in attending, please know that Faculty Development and Staff Association Professional Development are both sponsoring a limited number (2 each) of tickets to the event.

To reserve one of these tickets, please contact Karen Ball, Chair of Staff Association Professional Development Committee, or Julie Dunbar, Faculty Development Coordinator.

Please contact Tony García for additional information or if your department/division are interested in attending the conference. Group discounts are available.
