Request for Prayers

To the Edgewood College Community -

Deb Stamler, Director of Clinical Practice in the School of Education, is requesting that everyone here pray for her grandson Tatum.

“At a recent doctor visit for sweet six month old Tatum, a mass was discovered and he was admitted to the Oncology floor at Children’s Hospital. Tatum had a CT scan Thursday, May 10 at 7:30 a.m. followed by surgery for a biopsy. The Radiologist confirmed that Tatum has cancer, Neuroblastoma.

"Post-surgery has been a rocky road for Tatum. Today May 14 we met with the Oncologists and ICU doctor. A bone marrow biopsy was conducted to determine the extent of the cancer. Once those results have been confirmed, the doctors will determine the course of treatment assuming kidneys are functioning properly. The tentative plan is to begin chemo late this week depending on test results and brain activity.

"We were reminded by the doctors how important it is to donate blood as Tatum has benefited from it the past several days. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and generosity. Your words of encouragement and continued support provide us with strength.

Tatum’s parents, Megan and Jack, just want to express how incredibly thankful they are for everyone’s prayers and thoughts!! Our little boy is loved so much!”
