Jon Riffle accepts position as Dining Service Director

It is with great pleasure, I announce that Jon Riffle has accepted the position of Dining Services Director with Chartwells, here at Edgewood College.

In January 2019, Jon joined the team at Edgewood College as the Assistant Director of Dining Services, before being promoted to Director. He grew up in Brooklyn, Wisconsin.  A small town with less than 1000 people.  He went to high school in Oregon, a slightly bigger town nearby.  He has always been in and out of Madison, whether it was taking classes at the UW or getting his Culinary degree from Madison College.  

Jon has worked in restaurants since the age of 15, including as a line cook/baker at Lombardino's, as a Sous Chef at Delaney's, and as a Kitchen Manager at The Cheesecake Factory.  For over 10 years he worked at the The Silly Yak Bakery and Bread Barn.   He was previously also a Manager with Canteen, a company under the same parent company as Chartwells.

From Jon, “I love cooking and working with people.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to be here.  Edgewood is a beautiful campus and everyone has been so warm and inviting.  I'm looking forward to being here for a long time and getting to know everyone better.”
