Remember that Edgewood College will NEVER request you share your password through email, phone, or any other communication. Disregard any requests for such information, whether it is from us or any other organization.
Effective February 26th, 2020, in order to improve your experience while increasing account security, Edgewood College will apply an updated Password Policy for all faculty, staff, and student accounts.
Changes will include:
- Removal of complexity requirements (ex. Requiring a number and/or special character in the password)
- Enhanced Password Checking: At the time of password reset, the password will be checked against known password vulnerability lists
- Password Age: For each additional 3 characters in the password, max password age increases by 90 days.
- 8 to 10 character length expires at 90 days
- 11 to 13 character length expires at 180 days
- 14 to 16 character length expires at 270 days
- 17+ character length never expires
Notifications of password expiration will be emailed starting at 14 days before password expiration and will continue daily until the password is reset or expires.
