Earlier this month, we hosted our week of First-Gen celebrations! Since 2017, institutions from across the nation have celebrated first-generation students on November 8 and highlighted the important contributions made within their communities. 

First Generation can be defined as one who is among the first in their family to attend college and graduate with a four-year degree.

Although we celebrated in September, we can still represent and show support for first-generation students. Stop by the OSII desk and grab your First-Gen shirt! With National First-Gen day being November 8, we want to ensure all our First-Gen students have their new "Because I'm First" shirts! We also have a few of our "I support shirts" for others. We are currently only accepting cash to obtain your shirt.
