Do you want to help incoming students? Do you think you have what it takes to lead the new Eagles?

 

The O-Team welcomes new students, parents and family members to Edgewood College. This unique leadership position allows you and other student leaders to actively assist new students throughout all aspects of Orientation.

Orientation Leadership Team

 

All members of the Orientation Leadership Team will commit to the following:

 

  1. Welcome new students, parents and family members to Edgewood College.
  2. Actively assist new students throughout all aspects of Orientation.
  3. Be accessible and willing to assist with the information needs of students, parents and family members.
  4. Facilitate small group meetings.
  5. Serve as a role model and mentor.
  6. Provide family members with perspective on the college student experience.
  7. Facilitate evening entertainment programs during select orientation programs.
  8. Participate in panel discussions and answer questions.
  9. Attend and fully participate in Fall OLT Training.
  10. Remain flexible to accommodate changes to program schedule or logistics may occur.
  11. Cooperate with all Orientation/OSII staff members.
  12. Meet with professional staff as requested and attend all group meetings.
  13. Complete all staff assignments, assessments, and evaluations.
  14. General administrative duties, including evaluation, program and check in.

Orientation Leaders

  • Oversee and co-facilitate a group of 15+ new students with Peer Leaders during the orientation period.
  • Maintain regular communications with professional staff and alert them to situations that warrant attention.
  • Assist with Orientation check-in or residential move-in process.
  • Attend, participate and help facilitate late night activities.
  • Lead campus tours.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Peer Leaders

  • Work closely with COR faculty with the group and class development of COR course.
  • Oversee and co-facilitate a group of 15+ new students with Peer Leaders during the orientation period.
  • Maintain regular communications with professional staff and alert them to situations that warrant attention.
  • Assist with Orientation check-in or residential move-in process.
  • Attend, participate and help facilitate late night activities.
  • Lead campus tours.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Transfer Orientation Leader

  • Co-facilitate a group of new transfer students during the orientation period.
  • Maintain regular communications with professional staff and alert them to situations that warrant attention.
  • Assist with Orientation check-in or residential move-in process.
  • Attend, participate and help facilitate late night activities
