Aquinas Forum Monday Feb. 20: Searching for Truth - Competition, Contradiction, or Consistency?

What is truth and where can it be found? Is it limited to only science or history? What kinds of truth are there, and how are they known?

Join us for the 12th Annual Aquinas Forum, Monday, February 20, 2017, 11 am to 12:20 pm, Washburn Heritage Room, Regina Hall. “Searching for Truth: Competition, Contradiction, or Consistency?” will feature four scholars discussing these important questions from within the perspective of their own disciplines. All are welcome to attend.

Speaker:  Fr. Pat Norris, O.P., Medical Ethicist; Chaplain, SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, Inc.
Respondents: Dr. Brenda del Moral, Biology; Dr. Daniel Mortensen, Philosophy; Dr. Ferrinne Spector, Psychology.

The Aquinas Forum is co-sponsored each spring semester by Dominican Life and Mission, and the Religious Studies Department. Named for the Dominican Philosopher-Theologian, Thomas Aquinas, OP (1225-1274)–who died on March 7, 1274–this annual event provides the Edgewood Community an opportunity to consider contemporary issues from a variety of disciplinary and professional perspectives.
