New Student Handbook - Please Review

Welcome back to all members of the Edgewood College Community!

This past spring, members of the Edgewood College Community began the arduous task of reviewing our student judicial policies and procedures. An external consultant was hired to review our procedures, policies, and alignment with best practices in the field and amongst our comparator institutions. President Flanagan constituted a task force of students, faculty, and staff who were charged with carefully examining our Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook and the processes that were used to adjudicate violations of the Student Code of Conduct. Edgewood College community members were asked to attend campus forums to learn more about the review and share stories about their own experiences with the Edgewood College student judicial process. As a result, we executed a complete redesign of our Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.

It is vitally important that you familiarize yourself with the Student Code of Conduct in the Handbook as well as all the other College policies contained in the Handbook. In it, you will find detailed information about prohibited conduct, how we deal with violations, and your rights in the process. You can access it online.

If, after you review the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook, you have questions, please contact the Dean of Students Office at StudentConduct@edgewood.edu, 608-663-2212 or in Predolin 215.

Again, welcome back and all the best for a productive learning and developmental experience throughout the coming year!!!

-Tony Chambers, Vice President for Student Development & Dean of Students
