United Way of Dane County Presents: Expanding Opportunity – Academic Success Mobilization Plan 3.0

Dear Edgewood Community:

Please join us next Thursday, March 15th from 7:30a-9:30a, in the Anderson Auditorium, as we welcome United Way of Dane County in “Expanding Opportunity: Mobilization Plan 3.0 Public Launch”. This plan refreshes United Way’s community-wide academic success goals and takes a more holistic approach to ensuring the social and emotional well-being of local students. United Way has collaborated with volunteers who represent K-12 education, community based organizations, educational research, as well as parents and students to update this plan. Speakers and panelists will include Madison Metropolitan School District Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Cheatham, United Way President & CEO Renee Moe, Madison East High School Principal Michael Hernandez, Centro Hispano Executive Director Karen Menendez Coller, Educational Researcher Dr. Annalee Good, United Way Volunteer and Parent Anthony Johnson, Madison College Student Alondra Quechol, and a Theater Performance by the Middleton High School Social Justice Forum.
