Family Science Night is This Tuesday!

Family Science Night, also referred to as the Science Spring Spectacular, has been wowing families with children of all ages for 16 years running, and this year will be no exception.  Held in the beautiful Sonderegger Science Center, this year’s event will feature more than 40 hands-on, science based projects/stations for kids (and parents) to explore.  And best of all – this is a completely FREE event.  The event will run from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16th.  Parking is free on the Edgewood Campus.  Spanish interpreters will be available.  The Sonderegger Science Center is also completely handicap accessible.

Each year, Family Science Night continues to grow.  This year, we expect 300+ attendees.  Many families who participate are from the Madison area, but we’ve heard of families driving in from as far away as Janesville and Portage.  Projects & science stations have included topics such as fermentation (think Kombucha), fun with liquid nitrogen (shattering roses and marshmallows), learning how your eyes work, fossil exploration and a much, much more.  From biology to physics – Family Science Night has something fun and educational for all of your family members!
