Summer Research Academy

Dear Edgewood friends,

If you have a middle or high school student in your life, please invite them to participate in the Summer Research Academy! This program provides 2 week summer research experiences for students currently in grades 7-11. The students work in college labs at Edgewood, and each session is co-taught by an Edgewood faculty member and a MS/HS teacher so that kids are learning scientific research skills in a developmentally appropriate way. Sessions include:
  • Field Study of Lake Wingra: Lake Health & Human Impact
  • Biodesign: Engineering Inspired by Nature
  • Paleomagnetism: Explore the Earth’s Ancient Past
  • Genetic Engineering
  • Historical Research: Evidence & Imagination
Register using the link above. Edgewood faculty and staff can use this discount code for 50% off the tuition (EDGE50).

ALSO - If you are interested in getting involved as a guest speaker, or would like to show the students your lab while they are here on campus. Let me know! I'd love to find a way to make that happen.

This program is a partnership between Edgewood College and Madison Country Day School. If you have any questions, please let me know!
