Dear Edgewood friends,
If you have a middle or high school student in your life, please invite them to participate in the
Summer Research Academy! This program provides 2 week summer research experiences for students currently in grades 7-11. The students work in college labs at Edgewood, and each session is co-taught by an Edgewood faculty member and a MS/HS teacher so that kids are learning scientific research skills in a developmentally appropriate way. Sessions include:
- Field Study of Lake Wingra: Lake Health & Human Impact
- Biodesign: Engineering Inspired by Nature
- Paleomagnetism: Explore the Earth’s Ancient Past
- Genetic Engineering
- Historical Research: Evidence & Imagination
