Emphasis this year is on OneDrive, Blackboard and Technology for Remote Users.  Sessions in PRD 214 will be generally demonstration sessions.  Seating is limited, so arrive early.

OneDrive:
OneDrive is our primary document repository on EC Campus.  All H Drive content (your personal drive) is now moved to OneDrive.  This session will orient you to OneDrive and explain how to manage your OneDrive files.

Bb: Time Efficiency in Blackboard & Creating Accessible Documents
We all wish to use our time wisely.  This session will provide you with tools such as Date Management, Uploading files from One Drive,  Replacing existing files in Bb,  Use of MyBlackboard and more.
In addition, you will learn simple techniques that create accessible documents.

Mulitfactor Authenticaion:

What is Multifactor Authentication?  Why is it important?  This session will discuss security tools such as multifactor authentication that keep our personal information safe.

Blackboard Training for New Faculty (Note: registration is required.)

This 2 hour training (with a break)  is designed for Faculty who have been on campus for no more than two semesters.  Faculty will learn how to set-up a Blackboard course site using content areas, grade center, and interactive tools, and how to send an email and post announcements to manage a site.

Seating is limited to 20. If you find that you are unable to attend, please let me (ddeci@edgewood.edu) know so that others can attend in your place.

Blackboard Grade Center: An in-depth look

During this session, the attendees will setup a Grade Center, create assignment (drop box) columns, grade assignments, send email, color code cells and download the Grade Center to your desktop.

Technology for those working remotely
Working remotely is routine today.  You may have scheduled working from home days, complete a report or check your email on the weekend. Edgewood College has many applications that will assist you when working from off campus. This session will provide you information about these applications.

WebEX
WebEX is our remote meeting application for Edgewood College.  You can share your desktop, visually meet for a discussion, share files and more.  Use cases are:  faculty office hours, interviews with prospective employees or students or general meetings. Your participants do not need to have an Edgewood email address. There is no scheduling necessary.  This session will show you how to create your meeting space, and see it in action.
