Office 365 ATP Safe Attachments is an email filter that identifies and blocks malicious attachments from being delivered to users' mailboxes. If an incoming email includes an attachment, Safe Attachments will scan that attachment for malicious content and one of two things will happen:
- If scan reveals malicious content, the attachment will be replaced with a placeholder notifying the user that the original attachment was quarantined*.
- If scan reveals no malicious content, the email will be delivered as normal.

*Quarantined messages can be retrieved by the Technology Assistance Center. If you feel an attachment was incorrectly categorized, please contact TAC at 608-663-6900 to have us further investigate the case.
