Saving Files on Your Computer

Greetings,

The Technology Assistance Center would like to remind you that it is not recommended to save files directly to your Edgewood-issued computer. While personal and department drives are backed up regularly, the local drives on computers are not backed up. This means that in the event of a hard drive failure, all of the information saved on your computer would be lost.

We strongly recommend you save all of your files to your personal drive (H-drive), department drive (I-drive), or OneDrive. This will not only provide better security of your files, but this will maintain backups of those files in the event of a hard drive failure, new computer deployment, or reimaging of your computer. This also allows you to access your files from virtually any computer or mobile device.

Have a great Edgewood day!
