The Basics of Self-Compassion: for us on March 9

Compassion is one of our core values as an institution, and for many of us it's easy to feel compassion for students and those we care about. But how often do we also practice compassion for the self?

Join Personal Counseling Services for an interactive 60-minute session on self-compassion that will include a self-assessment, contemplative exercises and reflection, and discussion with colleagues. Participants will learn how to more regularly practice self-compassion, both at work and in their personal lives.

An optional and brief online assessment of our own self-compassion will be made available to registrants.

Particulars:  Monday, March 9,  12:00 – 1:00 pm;  a BYO lunch period starts at 11:30 am with catered snacks and beverages.    PRD 302 – Nona Room;  for all faculty and staff.

To attend, please RSVP by email to ksyke@edgewood.edu   More information will come to those who sign up.

Sponsored by Personal Counseling Services, Human Resources, and the Contemplative Campus Group.
