As a follow up to a presentation at the Faculty Association on November 28, 2016, we are continuing the roll out of virtual mailboxes. Student mailboxes were transitioned in September with very positive feedback regarding service. The next step in this transition is faculty mail. With the transition to a virtual system, individual faculty mailboxes will no longer be needed.
All mail including 1st class letters and 2nd class mail such as flyers will be distributed via departmental mailboxes. This process has been in place for two departments for over a year now. Faculty will receive an email notification when packages are received by the Mail Center (this is not a change in our current process).
The Mail Center will be reaching out to individual departments to ensure a smooth transition.
In preparation for the removal of the individual mailboxes, please remove all mail from your individual mailbox by the end of the day on December 16, 2016. Mail remaining in individual mailboxes will be placed in the departmental mailbox by the Mail Center staff.
