The Office of Student Inclusion and Involvement would like to invite you to the candidate campus presentation for the Assistant Director for Orientation and First-Year Experience role. We are excited to give our community the opportunity to engage with candidates that will be on campus. As part of their interview process, the candidate will give a 30-45min presentation with time for questions from attendees.

Time: 1PM-2PM

At this presentation, the candidate, Andre Hebert, will be giving a presentation discussing how they would structure training for the Orientation student staff. The Assistant Director of Orientation and First-Year Experience serves as the supervisor and a mentor to the Orientation Leadership Team (NODA Intern, Orientation Assistants and Orientation Leaders). While some of these student leaders are prepared for the responsibility of this position, some are not. Training for this group is vital to ensure they understand their role, the purpose of orientation, the importance (and necessity) of their role and how to engage with new students. 

Campus Presentation should include the following:

• Topics, issues or context that candidate believes would be vital for the Orientation Leadership Team to understand for this role.
• Description of comprehensive training to prepare the Orientation Leadership Team for this role.
