College men’s golf: Edgewood College earns GCAA Team Academic Award

MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's golf team already has a long list of academic credentials, but the Eagles added another to their trophy shelf today. The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced their 18Birdies Team Academic Awards, and included the Eagles as an All-Academic Team.

Edgewood College earned a team grade point average of 3.481, led by Alex Wedige's perfect 4.0 GPA. Four other team members, Jackson Eversoll, Nathan Gilbert, Josh Hentrich and Zach Hentrich, had a grade point average better than 3.75. Benedictine University was the only other NACC program to earn the All-Academic Team Honor this year.
