College Launches New Mentorship Program

The Alumni Mentorship Program cultivates meaningful relationships between recent alumni – those with 15 years or less of professional experience – and current students. The new collaboration combines the energy of the Alumni Relations Office and Career Development to maximize impact on undergraduate students pursuing any major.

Because this program is embedded in a course focused on internship preparation, it is purposefully designed to be flexible while giving support and scaffolding to build from. This ensures the program is student-centered and student-directed, all the while allowing mentors and students to build relationships and easily blend their schedules.

Alumni will have the opportunity to provide guidance and career and professional development to students. Their insights on managing change and overcoming difficulty can have a deep and profound impact. Mentorship can help a student create a game plan for the future, build their network, and provide support through their career discovery process.
