DONATE for DONUTS!

High priority

Tomorrow, from 9am to 11am, come over to the Dean of Students & Resident Life Office (PRD 215) to enjoy some delicious DONUTS and coffee while supporting BLUE DOT FOOD PANTRY by donating as many of the items from this wish list as you can!

In addition, please continue to donate within your means throughout the semester to keep this vital program alive. We will be accepting food donations for the Blue Dot Food Pantry at various sites across campus, so please donate as many of the items from this wish list as you can!

The Blue Dot Food Pantry is designed to help students in need of food. It is located in the kitchen next to the Nona McGreal Room on third floor Predolin. The pantry started in 2000 as a small group of staff responded to the needs of the community, much like St. Dominic and all other Dominicans.

The pantry has been stocked by faculty and staff through food donations, monetary donations, and food drives. We need help in keeping the pantry stocked with non-perishable food items. The most recent Edgewood College Campus Climate survey suggests that food insecurity is growing on campus. This is also a growing trend locally and nationally.

In this light, we would like to highlight opportunities to put our Edgewood College values of Justice, Compassion, Community, Partnership and the Search for Truth into action. Here are some ways that you can support our students that are food insecure:

  • Place items from this wish list as you can in the Blue Dot Food Pantry Bin
  • If you know of people in need, please refer them to the Blue Dot pantry

Students will be able to come and go in the Blue Dot Food pantry as long as Predolin is open.

If you have any questions, please contact Michael Krueger at mkrueger@edgewood.edu, 663-3261, or stop by Predolin 240.
