Due to the potential for severe weather later today, the Statewide mock tornado warning has been rescheduled for Friday , April 12 at 1:45 p.m. at which time Municipal sirens will sound.
**A Statewide mock tornado warning will also be issued at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, April 12 to give families and businesses a chance to test their emergency severe weather plans in the evening.**
You need not seek shelter during this test event, however for actual weather emergencies please note the following:
During severe weather situations, Edgewood College CAC and Campus Security monitor weather radios and local radar. In addition to public warning systems, if the College is directly threatened by a tornadic storm, one or more of the following emergency notification systems may be activated:
- Eagle Alert
- Sirens on top of Sonderegger
- Campus-wide public address system
In the event you need to take shelter in a severe weather situation, enter the nearest building (if not already indoors) and proceed to the lowest level or basement away from windows. You are encouraged to take time this week to familiarize yourself with the shelter areas in the buildings you spend time in.
