Edgewood College Theatre Auditions for Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play

Actors for Vintage Hitchcock are required to be vaccinated or have received their first vaccination shot by the start of rehearsal, and be fully vaccinated by tech. Rehearsals will start October 6, 2021; Tech begins November 6, 2021.Vaccinations for Edgewood students will be verified through the dean of student’s office. All others will be asked to provide vaccine verification to the director.
Spices, Murder, Love and other trademarks of Alfred Hitchcock come to life in the style of a 1940’s radio broadcast of the master of suspense’s earlier films. With The Lodger, Sabotage and The 39 Steps, Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play is a triple feature, complete with vintage commercials, that recreates the daring train chase, a serial killer’s ominous presence and a devastating explosion thought the magic of live sound effects.
Performance Dates: November 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20
Auditions Information:
Roles: extremely flexible with much doubling. 5 to 25 actors are possible.
- Play will be read, not memorized, but will be highly polished, with dialect work for many roles.

Where: the Diane Ballweg Theatre in the Stream building
Time: slots available between 7:00 and 9:00 pm on audition days
What: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
- As this play is not memorized, monologues at auditions are optional.
