Blue Dot Pantry Update

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

What a great community effort this year to help students experiencing food insecurity by helping with the Blue Dot Pantry.

Here are a few facts about the Blue Dot Pantry use this year:

  • Students used an average of 562 items a month from the Blue Dot pantry. Fruit cups, granola bars, mac and cheese cups were the most popular items. Surprisingly, Ramen noodles did not move quickly. The quick snack items were the most popular.
  • Faculty/staff donations of 976 items and 1105 items donated from Student Development Staff Food Drives helped keep the pantry well stocked throughout the year.
  • Additional support came from Swipe and Share at the end of Fall semester and monetary donations.

Thank you to the entire community for stocking the pantry and a special thank you to the members of the Blue Dot Advisory Group: Marissa Blackmore, Steven Post, Kasey Dewitt, Jennifer Brown, Terese Waltz, Diane Deci, Maria Sierra, Shaquella Johnson.

The Blue Dot Pantry will continue to be monitored and stocked throughout the summer by Dominican Life.
