Edgewood College Hosts Conference on Educating Children in Poverty

The 4th annual Opportunities Beyond Obstacles Conference – exploring issues relating to the education of the economically disadvantaged student – will be hosted for the first time by Edgewood College this Saturday, September 16. 

 

The multidisciplinary conference features speakers such as State Superintendent Tony Evers, Dane County Judge Everett Mitchell, former Madison Police Chief Noble Wray and Madison Schools Superintendent Jennifer Cheatham. 

 

It will take place in Predolin Hall, and Edgewood College professional development credit is available to attendees.
