Student Mental Health, Student Engagement

Two wonderful events this week if you have time to stop by the ECC classroom (L1) on Thursday.

First, at 11 am Jeanne Leep will present a session on using improvisation to engage students.  This session was a huge hit during January seminar, so please come if you were unable to attend then.

Secondly, at NOON at Thursday the 28th, Megan Cobb-Sheehan brings an important message to all of us, along with a panel of experts, to help us better serve students with mental health concerns. She notes:

Have you noticed an increasing number of students struggling with mental health concerns? Do you wonder how to best support these students while also maintaining high academic standards and rigor? Unfortunately, rising instances of depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide are a current trend both nationally and on our campus. Attend this panel discussion to learn more and ask questions of campus experts in the areas of mental health and well-being.

Have a great week, Julie
