2017-18 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards

MADISON, Wis. – For the third consecutive season, the Edgewood College baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association award for outstanding work in the classroom. The Eagles were one of 79 NCAA Division III schools nationwide to earn the ABCA Team Academic Award.

Edgewood College earned a 3.01 grade point average for the 2017-18 academic year. The Eagles were led academically by Alex Fowler who posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average and Paul Cappetta who was nearly as good with a 3.91 GPA. Ten Edgewood College baseball players earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Scholar-Athlete honors with grade point averages of 3.25 or better.
