Wed. Nov. 14, 3:00 – 3:50 pm Library-2nd floor conference room
In this month of Thanksgiving, nutrition and culture take the spotlight in the Wheel of Health.
Karen Martin and John Leonard will share insights from their respective Native American and Euro-American traditions, as well as share stories and methods of cultivating, harvesting, preparing and sharing food for feasts and seasons.
Have you ever tried wild rice (without white rice!) or a dish prepared using the “Three Sisters” (corn, beans, and squash)? French Baguettes, German Rye, or Abenaki Pumpkin Bread? Samples will be available.
Because of the samples, we ask you to RSVP --- ksyke@edgewood.edu
This year, the Contemplative Campus Group is holding well-being activities based on Duke University’s Wheel of Health and its seven spokes – a different spoke each month. The activities are open to all faculty and staff.
