'Cascade,' Mark Rumsey, Atrium Gallery, The Stream (new Visual & Theatre Arts Center).

Thousands of folded vellum paper "rain" droplets cascade from the skylight creating a visual matrix of constantly unfolding layers of pattern and light.

This artwork will be made through a community building process - students, faculty, staff, and neighbors are invited to fold the paper droplets and assemble the components. This generative process allows people, regardless of their background, to understand the ability of a community to transform what is around them. The process becomes a meeting point, allowing for connections that otherwise may not occur.

Please contact Paul Baker Prindle pprindle@edgewood.edu if you would like to participate to help fold in two hours shifts from Noon - 8:00 pm Sept 7 through the 16th.
