This Saturday!!! Grief, Motivation, Resilience w/ Krista Meinert

High priority

Have you or someone you know, ever felt hopeless and numb to the world around you?
Have you or someone you know, ever wanted or needed to find the strength to put your life back together after a traumatic or loss experience?

Join Krista Meinert as she shares her story about losing her son and finding a way to recover.

“Jake was destined to be in the military. There were signs early on that pointed in that direction and even though he had a wide range of interests they all seemed to give him the discipline he secretly desired to learn. He was a sailor on Lake Michigan and a musician in a marching band - but in middle school, 911 happened and it was as if that moment locked him into being a US Marine. I couldn’t say anything to change his mind so there was no turning back. Jake became a proud graduate of MCRD San Diego and was soon noticed for his leadership qualities and I became a proud Marine mom. He had two tours: One in Iraq and came back and one in Afghanistan. It was in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan that Jake was to fulfill the rest of his destiny and come home with a Purple Heart. On 10 January 2010, Jake died of complications from an IED and a part of me went with him.”
