2018 WAICU Diversity Conference

The Office of Student Inclusion and Involvement is going to the WAICU Diversity Conference in Appleton, WI on April 20th and 21st!

 

To attend the WAICU Diversity Conference, Edgewood College students will need to pay ONLY $10! We will cover the remainder of your registration costs.

 

If you are interested attending, please got to the OSII Desk (2nd Floor Predolin) to sign-up or contact Shaunda Brown, Assistant Director for Student Inclusion and Involvement, at sbrownclopton@edgewood.edu

 

In addition, we are inviting Edgewood students to play a critical part in the conference by submitting a proposal to share your knowledge and expertise! Proposals are due by Monday, March 26th! Concurrent sessions will be 60 minutes, either presentation style or an interactive activity. Sessions must directly address the conference theme, “Intentional Connections”. Examples of topics and discussions include but not limited to: diversity on campus, mentorship, collaboration, intent versus impact and finding balance.

 

If your presentation proposal is accepted into the WAICU Diversity Conference, you are able to attend the conference for FREE!

 

Proposals should include:

  • The title of the presentation
  • The names and job titles of presenters
  • Institutions or organizations presenters represent or are employed by
  • Paragraph summary of the session to be used in the program if selected
  • Detailed description of program including statement of relationships to theme, purpose, and learning outcomes for the session
  • Presentation techniques, strategies, and technology needs
  • The proposal should not exceed 3 pages

 

NOTE: OSII will be hosting a Proposal Building Workshop in the OSII student space (Predolin 207) this FRIDAY, March 23 from 10AM-2PM! Come drop-in if you need any help with creating, writing or conceptualizing a proposal for the conference.
