The Beacon is the new homeless day resource center operated by Catholic Charities. They rely on volunteers seven days a week to assist with such things as laundry and shower services, computer lab assistance, child care, and advocacy work. If you are interested in volunteering at The Beacon, there will be the opportunity to attend a training session this Friday, February 16th or February 23rd from 9-11am which is required prior to any volunteer work; transportation will be provided.
