Join this conversation with Professor Matt McCabe on Thursday, April 18th from 5-8pm  in Anderson Auditorium!

“Brexit is an ongoing political drama that is both fascinating and bewildering, with great but uncertain significance for Great Britain and Europe. Much of the complexity of Brexit is due to its implications for England's relationship to Ireland, Scotland and Wales; Great Britain's relationship to Continental Europe to the wider world. All of these relationship have long and, often, fraught histories. This presentation examines Brexit in historical context with an emphasis on the period in the early 20th century that historian George Dangerfield called the "Strange Death of Liberal England".”
